I jumped off a year ago.
His rein broke.
As did my leg.
He now serves veterans and their kids.
I jumped back on.
I have to make an appointment to ride him.
He doesn’t seem to mind.

Still my boy. He is such a good horse. I’m not the only one who loves him now. When he gets old and tired he will come back home.
So nicely put! Drummer is a handsome fellow and you all are a natural pair!
This seems to be the best possible outcome for him and me. They absolutely love him. And I can ride whenever I want. My goal is once a month. Just 35 miles from here.
Not through beautiful mountain trails but still on the back of a horse. And he seems so happy and purposeful. I do miss him running in for his treat every morning. But not having to go feed him hay at 30 degrees below is OK. I do still go down and feed the barn cat. Miss you. Come visit.
